Tears of PainI was at the starting line; I looked down at my pale legs to see my small track shoes with spikes ready to run. Time seemed to slow down, I looked at my hands and they were shaking. I felt as if my heart was going to leap out of my chest when the gun went off. So nervous, most nervous I would ever be in my entire life. So many thoughts running through my head on how I'm going to die or I'm going to wet myself. How I need to get out of this, this is going to hurt; I'm not going to like this.
"On your mark", said the gunman. It was our queue to get ready. That's it in a couple of seconds I would be running two laps around this field, it couldn't have come any sooner. My legs were shaking, my arms were shaking, and I looked at the red track and prayed that I would live through this.
"Get Set", said the gunman
There's no way I can get out of this now, this is it for me.
